Stradbroke Island

The event was on Saturday 3rd, GISA programme as usual. Just a simple escaped on the weekend. Stradbroke Island is located near Moreton Bay ~3 hours from Gatton. We departed from UQG campus at 6.45am and reached ferry terminal by 9 something. When we arrived on the island its already nearly 11am.

1st thing to do was having lunch ala picnic under the trees shadow at the beach. Then photo hunt was began! Its too hot for mandi manda and me worried of sunburned :p

Don't forget our main goal, whales watching...but they were too far. Bersyukurlah event can only observed the semburan air from those whales..

Actually this island suffered severed bush fires before, government gazetted this place as tourism beach few years ago to attract peoples. Extreme decreased in population is happened since people moved to the main land for job and better life. It used to be biology camp for school children because newly species become vigorous quite sometime after bush fire.

Enjoy my shots.....see more pic in facebook
